1. Applicants should have a High School Diploma, domestic or international, or the equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
2. All applicants must be 17 years old or older.

This is a vocational program and students wishing to enroll in it must possess a previous knowledge, training, and skills.
Applicants who are accepted into the ESL program are given the opportunity to take a standardized level placement test to determine their level of proficiency.
If the student does not take the standardized level placement test, they will be placed in Level One.
If the student does take the standardized level placement test, they will be placed in the level they have achieved on the test.
All candidates must first pass a Level 2 Background Check and Finger-Print procedure. The Level 2 Background Check and Finger-Print procedure fee is the applicant’s responsibility.
New Professions Technical Institute shall provide an approved third party company that specializes in this activity. If the candidate fails the Level 2 Background Check and or Finger-Print procedure, they will not be able to enroll in the program.
Applicants are informed of their acceptance within five (5) business days after all required information is received and qualifications evaluated (see details below)*.
(*) To be employed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida, graduates must apply for and receive a license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy. All students must apply in writing to the State of Florida and pay the appropriate fees (see Other Fees). The paperwork is to be performed at the Placement office. Once the paperwork is submitted, the state will grant you a license so that you can sit and take the National Certification Exam.
Upon completion of the program and prior to becoming gainfully employed the graduate may be asked to submit and pass a Level 2 Background Check and Finger Print procedure by their potential employer. The Level 2 Background Check and Finger-Print procedure fee is the graduate’s expense.
1. Educational Qualification

3. Enrollment Agreement Submission
Complete and submit the Enrollment Agreement. If the applicant is under 18 years of age, the agreement must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Ensure submission within the registration period specified in the Institute's academic calendar.
4. Background Check and Fingerprint Compliance
Candidates must complete a Level II background check. Fingerprint compliance is mandatory.
5. Vaccination, Testing, and Physical Examination
Note: Candidates are responsible for covering the costs associated with these requirements. Failure to meet any of these health-related requirements will result in ineligibility to start the program.
6. Interview with Nursing Program Student Counselor
Applicants will undergo an interview with the Nursing Program Student Counselor to assess their ability to successfully complete the program within the specified 17-month timeframe, as well as to evaluate their commitment, vocation, and desire for a career in nursing. Based on the results of said interview, NPTI will determine the acceptance or not of the student into the ASN program.
7. TEAS Entrance Exam

8. Acceptance Notification
Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status within three (3) business days after all required information is received and qualifications are evaluated. Applicants should review and adhere to all admission requirements and procedures carefully to ensure eligibility for the ASN program at New Professions Technical Institute.

10. Nursing Concentration Course Failure
Only one repeat of the SAME nursing concentration course (NUR) is permitted for students enrolled in the nursing program. A second failure of the SAME nursing concentration course (NUR) will result in the student being dismissed from the nursing program. Failing three nursing concentration courses (NUR) of any combination, including courses repeated, will result in the student being dismissed from the nursing program.
11. General Education Course Failure
Only one repeat of the SAME general education course is permitted for students enrolled in the nursing program. A second failure of the SAME general education course will result in the student being dismissed from the nursing program.
